Although age discrimination is observed for both the young and old persons it affects elderly more than youngsters. Advancements of medical technologies in the modern world where the average life expectancy for extending the human lifespan increases, which increases the importance of all aspects related to the quality of life of the elderly. In elderly employment, career, spare time, health and access to social services, care needs etc. areas there is a need social policy arrangements and service models are increasing. To develop these services we have not prejudices and ageist beliefs and stereotypes about old age. These misconceptions have negative effects on social functioning and utilization from social welfare services of elderly persons. Therefore, age discrimination based on old age in this study are discussed with different views
