The subject of this article is to define the levels of interest in religion that women and men believe in. In this regard, the three questions that are attempted to be answered include: 1) Are women or men more religious in Turkish society? 2) Does women and men’s religiosity change according to the different images of religious life? 3) Is the piety of women and men mutually exclusive or inclusive? The research was conducted using a qualitative method which is descriptive and based on literature review. In the study, an overview of the factors that support women religiosity, individual and social images of women religiosity has tried to be ascertained from a socio-psychological point of view. In this regard, we reviewed projects, books, scientific articles and master/doctorate thesis's that focuses directly and indirectly on women religiosity. The findings that addresses the direct or indirect relationship of gender-religiosity were classified and then interpreted according to the tradition of apprehention. Some information attained from meta-analysis and quantitative researches shows that women are much more religious than men in some dimensions of religiosity. However, it has been found that the differences between men and women's religiosity vary between %2 and %15. This means the differentation of religiosity in gender is not that great. The number of studies that reported that there is no significant variation in religiosity between women and men’s are high in number. In addition, it has been found that women attach more importance to belief practices that are based on spirituality. And this brings about the debate of whether "women are more devout or more spiritual?"
