Özet:

Abstract enThe Feminism movement has begun as of the 19th century within the male dominant society with the start of differentiation of male and female on the basis of sex, especially woman body to bear different indication and meaning and then feminism has appeared in the academic studies as a woman centric movement. Having been described as feminist movement and founded by the Anna Hutsol in Ukraine in 2008, Femen movement has been described as “An Order of New World, New Period”and has earned reputation as the voice of women within the society of Ukraine that they claim as a male dominant society and then undertaken the responsibility of defending the rights of women all across the world. This paper, having the characteristics of critical analysis about the Femen which has been mentioned with the protests in so many countries of the world besides Ukraine, has the objective of attracting attention towards the methods of Femen conducted in the protests against the presentation of women as a sexual commodity that bears contradicting factors against the main principles of feminism movement. This study, having the objective of attracting attention to contradictions between the stance of Femen against the use of women as a sexual object and their way of protests turning into sexual show by using woman activists, examines the protests of Femen within the framework of Feminism. One of the most attention-grabbing protests of Femen is the protest that was done in Paris, capital of France in the summer of 2013. In this context, news about the Femen protests conducted all across the world in last two years have been examined in the framework semiotics of Roland Barthes. As a result of the study, it is examined and analyzed that whether the path followed by the Femen, women movement, to make themselves heard is accord with the Feminism.
