The aim of this study is to reveal, during the election period, whether press is acting prejudiced or not and also if broadcasting by considering the representation rates of the candidates in the society or not by taking into consideration of two newspapers which are known as politically opposites. Because of this, the news about the candidates and the images showing the candidates on the front page have been researched by content analysis method in terms of different aspects for one month before the election. As a result of the study, it is confirmed that newspapers, which are representing different political view, are adding an interpretation to the news, broadcasting without considering the rates of the representation rates in society, not broadcasting according to the principles of the liberal press theory and also manipulating the public during the election period by acting biased instead of contributing the public opinion with objective and unbiased news
