One of the most important gains that social studies lesson offers to students is the values which is seen as the primary reason for the existence and continuity of societies. In values education, the role of teacher guidebooks which are the main lesson materials of teachers is considerably high. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate how values education is handled in primary education social studies teacher guidebook. In the study, document analysis was carried out. The sources determined by receiving expert opinion were analyzed through descriptive analysis comparatively with literature. It was concluded that important arrangements should be made by paying attention to the scope of unit subjects, class differences of students, peace value and the literature in the sections related to values in 6th and 7th class social studies teacher guidebooks. It was found that “academic honesty” and “scientificness” values within the scope of the subject are taught in a way to complete each other by paying attention to class and subject difference and suggestions were offered in this regard.
