Scratch is a visual programming language to create animation and games without a deep knowledge of computer programming. For this study, an elective course was given with the support of Scratch platform at Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology, Kırıkkale University in 2013. The aim of the course was to develop a positive understanding of the students on programming. During this course, students were asked to prepare several documents, such as, game proposal, analysis, design documents and then developed their own educational game with Scratch. 169 pre-service IT teachers chose their game topics freely and prepared their project individually. This educational game project that was prepared by students has been analyzed according to three criteria: subject of game, user of game (target group), quality of game. When the students’ projects have been reviewed, it has been observed that most of the educational game was prepared for primary level students, the subject of game was selected from Math course in general and game qualities was in moderate or good level.
