The aim of the study is to examine the distributions of gymnasiums and outdoor sports fields where the secondary school students in Turkey use in physical education and sports lessons. The population of the study consist of secondary school students who were enrolled in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades of public secondary schools in 2014-2015 academic year. As it is impossible to reach the whole of the population, stratified sampling method was used from purposeful sampling types where in "Mobile Youth Center - Young Volunteer Movement" project was held and with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Gençlik ve Spor Bakanlığı) (GSB) in 11 cities in the Black Sea Region, 5 cities in the Mediterranean Region, 4 cities in the Eastern Anatolia Region, 1 city in the Southeastern Anatolian Region, 2 cities from the Central Anatolia Region, 6 cities from the Aegean Region and 4 from the Marmara Region. 1,500 secondary school students participated in this research voluntarily. A questionnaire was developed by the researcher so as to examine the general and sub-objectives of the study. The data obtained as a result of the research were analyzed in the SPSS statistical package program. As the result of the analyzes, it was determined that the ratio of students who declared that they were closed sports hall in their schools was 29.4% and the ratio of students who said that they had an open sports field in their schools was 66.9%. As a consequence, the ratio of secondary school students who take physical education and sports lessons without gymnasium is very high and there are still serious deficiencies in terms of outdoor sport fields and gymnasium in the schools.
