Özet:

Although sports are becoming a popular series of activities today, some behavioral disorders to ethical rules have begun to be seen in these organizations. These behaviors have begun to drag people into an environment of conflict. This study was carried out to determine the sportsmanship behaviors of the students studying at the sport sciences faculties. The Sports Sciences Faculty and the School of Physical Education and Sports are institutions where sports education is given. Along with sports education given in these schools, sportsmanship behaviors and spirit of fair play is also expected to be gained. In these schools, fair play lessons are taught selectively. Sportsmanship behavior is important to the athletes or to the students at every stage of their education. The survey model was used in the research. The population of the research consists of 106 students studying in Sports Sciences Faculty in the 2015-2016 academic year by random sampling method. The "Physical Education Course and Sportsmanship Behavior Scale" developed by Koç (2013) was used as data collection tool in the research. The scale is 5 point Likert and consists of 20 items. Analysis of the data obtained in the study was analyzed with SPSS 16.0 package program and percent frequency, standard deviation and arithmetic mean techniques were used. As a result; it was seen that the students in the survey expressed positive behaviors on themes such as "gentlemanship, virtue, fair play and competition, accepting to lose". On the other hand, it was determined that they acted with "win prioritized understanding", had negative thoughts towards their teammates and against the rival in "aggression dimension". It has been concluded that it is necessary to conduct studies on the common themes that constitute the essence of Fair Play for the students.
