The aim of this study was to examine the attitudes of university students attending to different faculties in Bartın University towards sports, sports activities, and their levels of activities in sports. The sample of the study was composed of 573 students attending to 7 faculties during 2015-2016 education year. In order to find out their attitudes towards sports, a likert-type and 3 sub-scaled questionnaire, Attitude Scale towards Sports, which was composed of 25 items, was adapted to the sample. While analyzing the answers of the students, their score avarages of each sub-scale was calculated and compared through various demographic variables. According to the results of the study, there is no meaningful difference between the participants according to “Age”, “Faculty”, and “Grade” variables, but meaningful difference was found according to the “Gender” variable. Besides, the students’ interest in sports was found to be high, and their interest in active sports participation was found to be average level. In general, it can be stated that the students have a positive attitude towards sports.
