The aim of this study was investigate the relationship between functional movement analyse (FMS) scores and physical characteristics of contestant athletes. 22 male athletes (Xage=21,41±1,56 years, Xheight=175,55±6,00 cm, Xbodymass=74,86±11,18 kg) from various branches of sports (rugby, track and field, wrestling, judo, basketball, taekwondo, football, badminton) voluntarily participated to this study. Height, body mass, body fast percentage, body mass index, fat free mass and FMS test measurements were made. Correlation coefficients of the variables in the analysis of the data and the statistical significance was calculated with Spearman test. Katılımcıların FMS skorları ile vücut ağırlığı (r=-0.519; p<0.05), vücut yağ yüzdesi (r=-0.473; p<0.05) ve vücut kitle indeksi (r=-0.515; p<0.05) değerleri arasında By this analysis moderately significiant negative correlation were found between FMS scores and body mass (r=-0.519; p<0.05), body fat percentage (r=-0.473; p<0.05) and body mass index (r=-0.515; p<0.05). There were no significiant correlations between FMS scores and fat free mass (p<0.05). As a result, having a high level of physical fitness athletes are thought to reduce the risk of sport injuries and affects their sport performance positively. It may be suggested to increase the number of research group.
