This study covers dairy cattle farming in Erbaa Plain of Tokat Province. The main goal of the study is to determine the profitability and feasibility of the investment and the productivity level of the dairy cattle farming in the research area. In the investment analysis of dairy cattle farming, the criteria of Net Present Value, Cost- Benefit Ratio and Internal Rate of Return were used. And four different discount rates (%10, %8, %5, %3) were consired to reach to the net present values and costbenefit ratios. While net present values at first three discount rates were negative for domestic dairy cattle, in the case of discount rate of 3 %, these values became positive. For Cross-bred dairy cattle at first two discount rates were found negative values, however discount rates 3% and 5% were calculated positive values. For culture dairy cattle; at all discount rates, NPV were found as positive values. In cost-benefit ratio analysis; for domestic dairy cattle at 3% discount rate; for cross-bred at 5% and 3% discount rates; for culture dairy cattle at all discount rates, cost-benefit ratio were found bigger than 1. Internal rate of return values were found as 4,78% for domestic dairy cattle, 6,50% for cross-bred and 15,96% for culture. While domestic dairy cattle breeding was found as economically unfeasible, crossbred and culture breeding were found as economically feasible in the investment analysis.
