Music teacher may be continuing a successful and satisfactory professional life as incorporating her/his knowledge and skill concerning the field into her/his creativeness during her/his each practice in the scope of music lesson. Consequently, music teacher also needs to improve her/his creativeness besides having knowledge and skill during the training in the field. It would be possible to determine the aspects which improve the creativeness of music lessons in the scope of the undergraduate program of teaching music and the contents of these lessons may be arranged in order to supply the needs for the issue of creativeness education. On this work, formats of musical creativeness of the candidates for music teacher and the relationship between their musical creativeness and their success in music lessons has been investigated in order to underline the importance of musical creativeness. The “Thinking Creatively With Sounds and Words” test of Torrance has been used to measure the musical creativeness of the candidates for music teacher. Works for validity, reliability and linguistic equivalence have been made in order to adapt test to Turkish and it has been seen that the test was reliable since obtained the significant results. Research, as corresponding to factor of success in music lesson, is limited with the subjects of Piano, Education of Individual Instrument, Theory of Music and Education of Hearing, Education of Individual Voice, School Instruments, Concerted Voice Education, Chorus, Turkish Folk Music, Orchestra/Chamber Music, Accompaniment (Korrepetisyon), Up-to-date/Popular Music and Play-Dance-Music. Data of students from totally 99 universities has been analyzed. At the end of the analysis ; (1) it was determined that there was a significant relation between the test scores of the students from the test of “Thinking Creatively With Sounds and Words” and their success in the lessons of Education of Individual Instrument, Education of Individual Voice plus Play-Dance-Music, (2) it was not found any significant result between the test scores of the students from the tests of “Thinking Creatively With Sounds And Words” and the factors of gender, graduate school type and class. It has been seen that the students did not exactly manage to reflect their musical creativeness to their success in music lessons. In accordance with these results, various ideas have been presented in order to improve the students’ musical creativeness and to keep the creativeness facts at foreground during the works at music lessons.
