The aim of this research is to Investigate the opinions of prospective primary school teachers, who involved in authentic assessment in scientific research methods course, about authentic assessment. Qualitative research method was used in the research. From the purposive sampling methods the criterion sampling was used in this study. As criterion, participating the authentic evaluation process in scientific research methods course in the 2013-2014 year spring semester has been identified. According to this criterion, working group consists from 8 males and 13 females a total of 21 prospective primary school teachers. Research data was obtained with semi-structured interview technique which is one of the types of interviews. In the analysis of the data obtained as a result of interviews descriptive analysis technique was used. In the result of the research, prospective primary school teachers stated mostly positive opinions about the authentic assessment process and indicated that the process is also evaluated with the product. In addition, prospective teachers expressed opinion regarding their roles that they have mostly an active role and regarding with the role of the instructor's that faculty members have mostly guiding role.
