Abstract:

Teachers are who provide training of young people in a society.Teachers are not only the people who teach in the classroom. Teachers are the concrete models who affect the formation of students character with their social norms and ways of thinking in the field of education, Industrial revolution gave rise to a education system called classical education model. The main factor in classical education system is submitting to authority as the stack master. The teachers are ensure this authority.The aim of the information society is to educate individuals who can be indulgent to the different thoughts, beliefs and ways of life and have creative, independent objective mentality and open to questioning, researching, criticizing, endowed with upperlevel mora land have personal and social sense of responsibility.Information age society teacher model is who, hasa wide horizon of thought, and adapt to change and speed, perceive individual diversity as richness,has life-long learning principle, and expressself-thoughts clearly. The generations who have freedom of wisdom,freedom of comprehension, freedom of conscience,expressed byAtaturkcan be grownby the intellectual teachers.In this study, the conceptual framework of classical and modern conceptions of teachers was compared. The importance of modern teacher in having the individual gain the values and behaviors of knowledge society was tried to emphasize.
