This study has been carried out to investigate life quality of elderly living in the rest home. It has been drawn 111 elderly in to this research. They are living in Home for Poor Old People of Keçiören Municipality and Seyran Bağları Nursing Home. In this study, WHOQOL-OLD life quality scale developed by World Health Organization was used. 51.7 % of elderly drawing in to this research are male, their mean ages are 74.11±6.69. 45.9 % of old individuals’ ages are between 66 and 74, 73.0 % of them are elementary graduate or lower educated. 57.7 % of them are widowed or divorced. 48% of elderly aren’t able to care of themselves, 27.1 % of them are lonely, and therefore, 36.0 of them are living in rest home from 5 years or short rate. When demographic characteristics are compared with WHOQOL-OLD fundamental area; it is founded meaningful difference in the areas of sensory functions, social participant, death and expire to gender (p<0.01); in the areas of social participant, death and expire and closeness to marital status (p<0.05). It is determined meaningful difference in the sub area of closeness between old individuals unlettered, lettered and graduated elementary school (p<0.05)
