The research was carried out with 587 students in various high schools in Gaziantep in order to examine the self-efficacy levels of the drug addiction protection against socio-demographic variables. Self-Efficacy for Protecting Adolescences from Substance Abuse Scale was administered to the students. The relationship between gender, age and socioeconomic levels of students and self-efficacy levels of substance dependency protection is examined. T-test, Test of One Way Anova and Schheffe Test were used in the study. According to the results of the research, there was no significant relationship between the gender and age of the students and the self-efficacy levels of substance dependency, whereas there was a significant relationship between socioeconomic levels and self-efficacy levels of substance dependency. As the financial situation of students increases, self-efficacy levels of protection from substance dependency are increasing.
