Abstract:

The Officers Born in Bergama According to Sicill-i Ahval Registers (1827–1892) In this study, 21 officers born in Bergama have been addressed according to sicill-i ahval registers. The information about names of the officers’ fathers, their birth dates and nationalities was evaluated and their familial information, especially about the fathers’ profession and their ancestors’ names was presented. Also, the schools they attended were examined. It was studied whether the officers started the work as an intern or a permanent position and their ages to start work were examined including the internship period. The officers born in Bergama were introduced giving information about their salary and whether they were fined or not during their service
