The Caliph Umar was an organizer as well as a statesman. Before converting to Islam, he was working an ambassador for the Arabs. After accepting Islam, he continued the same job on behalf of Muslims. At the same time, he worked as an advisor and helped for the administration of the Prophet Muhammad and the Caliph Abu Bakr. When he became a Caliph, his past experiences concerning statesmanship contributed an important support to his own administration. Thus, he can be identified as an important statesman and intelligent diplomat who predicted the future.
