This paper claims that secularity is a natural result of human be-ings’ striving for better, easier, and more reliable. It takes seculari-ty as an attribute which all types of government would aim at if they want to resolve possible religious conflicts yielded by different religious thoughts. Hence secularity is accepted as being a social scientific invention which satisfies the need for significant univer-sal peace of humanity. In this respect, it is deeply emphasised that there is direct or indirect contribution of the previous cultures on all the scientific accumulations or all kinds of useful gains. Accordingly, given that government defines secularity as the condi-tion for the human right of believing and non-believing, Islam seems to support secularism in an indirect way with regard to its declara-tion that no force is applicable to human being in his/her belief; whoever does not use his/her reason will suffer; human beings are so created potentially as to differentiate between beautiful and ug-ly; good and evil; moral understanding is the core of belief, prayer and daily religious practice. Hence, the claim that ‘Turkey with its Muslim population and secular political system cannot be adopted to contemporary values’ is not valid.
