Oath is an application that reflects the belief in the sacred power of the word, with the aim of increasing the credibility of the word and making promises on any subject. Oaths consists of convictions, often made up of stereotypes, in order to convince the other by taking advantage of certain objects and some ritual behaviors. The oath has an important place in the beliefs of Kyrgyz Turks as in other Turkish tribes. The Kyrgyz Turks use the words "ant berüü, kasam içüü, shert bayloo" for the practice of swearing. The Kyrgyz Turks, who believe in the magical power of the word, believe that those who do not fulfill their oaths and who swear false will be punished by Kuday and the Holy Spirit. A number of rituals that are believed to have sanctioning power are practiced during ant drinking. The most common of these is to consolidate the moment by giving the person a confusion. In addition, licking swords, licking the nails of birds of prey or wild animals, snagging an object, sitting on the bear skin, biting the bear's head, swearing after sacrifice, sacrifice, jumping over a whip handle, and swearing on the blacksmith's bellows. In addition, the Kyrgyz Turks, who regard God, natural events, arms, ancestral spirits, breast milk, bread and salt as holy, reinforce their vows by witnessing them. However, the tradition of slaughtering white grizzly mare or black sheep by slaughtering their hands in blood is common among the Kyrgyz Turks. After the adoption of Islam, the practice of stepping on the Quran and kissing the Quran became widespread. These practices in Kyrgyz Turks' faith world and social life are reflected in the epics. In this study, the beliefs of the Kyrgyz Turks regarding the oath, the rituals they apply to these beliefs and their reflections on the epics of the Kyrgyz Turks will be discussed.
