Özet:

This study aims to determine the effect of academic motivation of the undergraduate students of tourism guidance on their occupational attitudes. The data were collected by applying a questionnaire based on the literature to 1105 students who received tourism guidance education at undergraduate level in Turkey. The questionnaires were applied to the students face to face with the help of the lecturers in the tourism guidance departments in the spring semester of 2016-2017 academic year, according to quota sampling based on class. The data were subjected to correlation, factor and multiple regression analysis. It was determined that the undergraduate students of tourism guidance have positive attitudes towards their occupational attitudes. It was found that the intrinsic motivation of students was high, and the external academic motivation of students was the most affective one on their occupational attitudes. The study concludes with various suggestions for tourism guidance students to develop a positive attitude towards their occupational attitudes.
