Newspapers began mass communication from the beginning of the 17th century, although not present in the form of qualitative and quantitative. The radio has become widespread after World War I and the television has also after World War II. This situation has brought society to be aware of each other, on the other hand the pre-modern era of communication priority application forms with face to face communication was transformed. In the 21st century called as information and technology era has occurred significant changes not only our life styles and behaviors but also our social life and forms of communication. Internet that perhaps the greatest invention of the last millennium was the premise trigger of these changes and has led to the loss of meaning of the time/space. New media that based on the meaning of all technologies of the infrastructure by the internet has started to change all the facts that we are known of ‘communication world’ as well as feature of interactivity and due to the opportunities afforded by technology as a result of the use of people over many platforms. This change is reflected in the application forms of communication and also in the content of the product. Depending on the cultural degeneration, hate speech that spreading through new media is one of the most concrete examples this ‘new’ situation. In this framework, firstly theoretical explanations of the new media and hate speech will be done, and then the results and reviews will be given where the research covers new media and hate speech.
