Ali Fuad Erden who was in the Balkan War, World War I and Independence War had different duties such as corps commander, chief of the staff, military attaché, commander of fortified area and the commander of Turkish War Colleges from 1903, when he graduated from Turkish War College, to his death in 1957. Ali Fuad was a military attaché on France when World War I started. He went to Paletsine front because Cemal Pasha was appointed to 4th Army Commandership to make a military action in Suez Canal. Ali Fuad gave new informations about the reasons and results of canal operation, the condition of Turkish army in Paletsine and Syria front, the relationship between Turkish staff and the nature of Arab revolt through his views and observations in Egypt, Paletsine and Syria front when he was Cemal Pasha’s chief of staff. It should be remembered that he was not emotional while he was telling the persons and events. Instead, he tried to tell them as they happened with his own word
