Migration is a social phenomenon that exists today just as it has existed in the past. Throughout history, people have had to migrate due to wars, disasters, social or political reasons. Since more than seven years because of the ongoing civil war in Syria, approximately four million people have forced to migrate to Turkey. The largest proportion of this immigrant population consists of children and young people in the age of education. Since 2016-2017 academic years, Syrian students have been recruited into the Turkish education system, including Imam-Hatip schools. The aim of this study is to determine the educational problems faced by the Syrian students studying at Imam-Hatip High Schools in Kilis where many Syrians live. In this study, qualitative research methods and techniques has been used. In this direction, qualitative data has been collected through interviews via semi-structured interview form. The data obtained from the study have been analyzed via the content analysis technique. For this purpose interviews were conducted with 12 students in two different schools. In addition, the opinions and experiences of teachers are included in the study, those who work in the schools where Syrian students are enrolled. As a result of the study, it determined that Syrian students who study in Imam-Hatip High Schools have had problems such as language issues, adaptation to school, and feelings of alienation. They were found to be more successful in lessons like Quran, Arabic and Hadith which are based on Arabic. It was determined that these students are more adapted to Imam-Hatip High Schools because of their cultural codes and they found enough the religious education they have received in these schools.
