In this study, sectoral dynamics of regional inequality in Turkey have been examined by using decomposition method for the period 1987-2001. Regional inequality on regional context have been demonstrated by decompositing weighted coefficient of variation in sectors. Some recommodations for regional policy have been proposed by calculating sectoral shares in regional imbalances. According to weighted coefficient of variation and weighted Gini index, regional inequality is too high in industry sector than other sectors and agricultural sector is more equal relative to industry and services. Results of decomposition analysis indicate that services have the biggest share in inequality. Agriculture has no important effect on regional inequality and share of industry in inequlity is secondary level
