The contrast between equivalent Islamic sacred texts have occurred as a problem with the period of the companions of Messenger Muhammad. For this problem, which has been tried to be solved on specific examples, systematic solution methods have been introduced with the development of the fiqh methodology. Generally, it has been tried to be solved as cem’ / tevfîk, tercih, nesih and tesâkut, but three different thoughts have been put forward as to how the hierarchical order should be taken as a basis. The first thought, which is represented by Hanefi methodologists, is based on the order formed as nesih, tercîh, cem’/ tevfîk and tesâkut, while cumhûr is based on the order formed as cem’/ tevfîk, tercih, nesih and tesâkut. The traditionists and some methodologists preference nesh to tercih unlike the majority. Imam Bukhari, who takes the first place among the hadith sources with his work -elCâmi’u’s-Sahîh- and who also puts forward his fiqh views by forming his bâb titles in this work, followed a certain method and hierarchy to resolve the contrast among the İslamic sacred texts. In this article, it is tried to define the method and hierarchy followed by Bukhari about the interpretation of contradictory proofs.
