Abstract:

The main objective of this study is to determine the impact of conceptual puzzles on student success as a method in the teaching of social information. The study is designed in the experimental pattern (ÖSKD) model of the pre-test-sontest control group. The research work group continues to a state high school located in the center of Adana in the spring period of the 2016-2017 academic year. The class creates students. The study was conducted with a total of 52 sixth-class students consisting of a experiment and a control group. The study took a total of 15 hours. The teaching in the experimental group is based on the concept puzzle activities, while in the control group the program-based teaching is carried out. The results obtained from the analyses made when studied show that teaching based on conceptual puzzles is more effective than program-based teaching.
