The aim of this study was to examine the effect of Turkish activities on development of children attending to nursery class. The study group was comprised of children, normal developmental course, attending to the nursery classes of official primary schools of Ankara Provincial National Education Directorate during 2013-2014 educational year. Total 52 children were involved in the study group. In research, the “General Information Form” and the “Brigance Early Childhood Developmental Inventory II” were used to assess the motor, receptive and expressive, academic/cognitive, social/emotional, and daily life skills of children. After the pre-tests of the children in the experimental and control groups, the "Turkish Activities" prepared by the researchers for the children in the experimental group were applied for three months. The final tests were done at the end of the training program. One month after the last test was applied, the retention test was applied to the test group. Due to the obtained results were showed normal distributions data were evaluated with “t-test” and “Anova”. As a result of research, ıt was seen that the collective effect of group*measurement was important in the result of the research.
