In this study the effectiveness of a center based family training program on toilet training skills of mothers of children with developmental disabilities and on childrenâs bladder control were investigated. The study group consisted of three children with developmental disabilities and their mothers. In order to investigate the effectiveness of the family training program multiple baseline across subjects design was used. In order to gather data from mothers and children in the study group, dryness duration record keeping skill measurement tool, daytime bladder control facilitation skill measurement tool, and daytime bladder control measurement tool were used. The findings of this study showed that the center based family training program was effective on mothersâ record keeping of their childrenâs dryness duration and day time bladder control facilitation skills and on childrenâs achieving bladder control. Furthermore the findings indicated that children maintained their daytime toilet control skills two, four and six weeks after having completed the family training program and the program had high treatment fidelity.
