Özet:

Bu çalışmanın amacı dünya hayatından ziyade öte dünyaya önem veren, sabır ve metaneti telkin eden, semavi bir din olan Hıristiyan dininde, mistik hayatın varlığını incelemektir. Mistisizm yalnız düşünce de olanı, doğrudan ve aracısız sezgi yoluyla gerçek kılma çabasıdır. Gerçek anlamda Tanrı’yla birleşip Tanrı’yla bir olmadır. Gerçek mistik sadece Tanrı’dan söz eden değil Tanrı’ya kavuşandır. Her dinin kendi özelliklerine göre mistik bir anlayışı vardır. Hıristiyan mistisizmi de özü itibariyle duygusaldır. Çıkış noktası, aşk ocağı olarak Tanrı duygusudur. Akılla ve duyularla değil, kişinin bizzat esasını oluşturan kalp ve irade ile Tanrı’ya ait oluştur. Hıristiyan mistikler deruni hayatın dâhileri olarak ortaya çıkarlar. Bu bağlamda Hıristiyan mistisizminin büyük öncüsü Aziz Pavlus’tur. Tam mistiklik, büyük Hıristiyan mistiklerinin mistikliğidir. The purpose of this study is to examine the existence of mystic life in Christian religion which is a divine religion giving importance to afterlife rather than world life and preaching patience and fortitude. Mysticism is an attempt to make tangible the intangible one, which is only in thought, through direct and unmediated love. It is, in real terms, uniting with God and being identical with God. The true mystic is not the one who only talks about God but the one who comes together with God. Each religion has its own mystical sense in accordance with its characteristics. Christian mysticism is essentially emotional as well. Its starting point is the sense of God as the love seedbed. It is person’s belonging to God not by reason and emotions but by the heart and will that constitute the essence of the person himself. Christian mystics emerge as geniuses of intrinsic life. In this context, the great pioneer of Christian mysticism is Saint Paul. Complete mysticism is the mysticism of the great Christian mystics.
