In recent years, as in many areas, changes have been observed in the behavior of individuals in the field of healthcare. With the new reforms on health in the world and in our country, and in particular in Turkey, the state’s promotion of private hospitals, the health sector has been re-formed in many ways. This process is full of revolutionary innovations in terms of the transmission of information from individuals on health and access to specialists. The increase in the number of active users of the Internet is one of the main structures of this revolution. Since sectorally personalization means dedicated service to a person, the number of internet users has increased in both individuals and health institutions. The social sharing networks, which the Internet technology brings to the individual’s life and which are called great facility, come to us as a factor that accelerates the change in the health structure. Social networks, with a lot of platforms that allow users to produce content and provide free access to previously produced content, are among the first sources that people seek to learn about health as well as about everything. The number of health content created on social networks where access to information on almost every subject, including science, is also increasing. Online health information search has been amongst the popular activities on the Internet, not limited to written information, audio and video video sharing has also increased its preference in terms of access to information. Experts and doctors share the level of information that the individual will need about every field of health through social networks and even produce guidance content on the issues of drug use, alternative treatments, supporting product use. Social networks (social media), which include a wide range of online communication tools when all of these are evaluated together and operate with a variety of mechanisms, provide a channel for social support and facilitate the sense of connection between individuals. The facility it provides in connecting has also brought a new approach to the topic by building a new digital health platform, defined as E-health. In this study, using the "E-Read Writing Scale" adapted by Gencer (2016) will identify the ways and levels of use of social networks by university students in the field of healthcare.

Like in many fileds, there have been changes on individual attitutes in health sphere. Thanks to the improvements and renovations in health sector in the World and the promotions of private hospitals in Turkey have reshaped the health sector. This process has let the individuals get the chance of accessing essential information and doctor. The increase in the number of internet users is one of the main reasons of this improvement. As the privatization of the sector provides private service for individuals, the number of the internet user sincrease both individuallyand in terms of heatlh instituations. Social networks which the internet technology brings in to our life are seen as the factors causing the changes of the health sector. The social networks which let people produce content or Access the content produced are the firsts ources that people ask for health. The number of the health contents which are produced on social platforms like many other fields are increasing gradually. Nowadays, people are searching for information for their illness on the internet and apart from this, they start to share records or videos to spread the information. The specialists or doctors share the information that the patients need to get cure for their illness and also they produce contents about the use of remedies, alternative medical treatments and, supportive productuses. Taken all these into consideration together, the social networks that include online communication tools and work with various mechanisms provide a channel for social support and make it easy to build a connection between the individuals. E-health known as a new digital health platform is the outcome of this connection. In this study, universtity students’ type and levels of using social networks for health sphere will be determined by using “E-literacy Scale” adapted by Gencer (2016).
