Abstract:

Mecmûa is a very important word in the Arabic word "Cem" coming from the root. Mecmûa, which means gathered together, is found as a "journal" in today's Turkic. In the case of classical Turkish literature researchers and those who choose handwritten works as their own efforts, the correspondence of "mecmûa" is much different. When we look from this point, it is the gathering of pieces of text, texts of different kinds of works or different people. The works collected in the magazines are generally works that meet or have similarities with each other in a common payday. Magazines are named and named according to their content. Muhammed Kamilî Efendi's Mecmûâ-i Kasâid and Hikâyat mecmûlası may be an example of story parcels in general terms, but in terms of content, it will not be just a story parable. With this work, we wanted to touch on the place and importance of the journal we studied in relation to the above mentioned issues in terms of literary history. It was organized in 1201/1787 by Muhammed Kamil Efendi, one of the loyalists of Istanbul. Mecmûa is registered in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Atatürk Library, Municipality Yazmaları Collection with K.001604.
