In this research it was investigated whether juvenile delinquency levels differ according to some personal and familial characteristics. Juvenile delinquency data was collected by means of “Delinquency Scale” (Kaner, 2001a). Data related to participants’ personal and parental characteristics was collected by the “Personal Inquiry Form” prepared by the researchers. Mann-Whitney U Test and Kruskal Wallis Test, non parametric data analysis techniques, were utilized for data analysis. Results indicated that there is a significant relationship between delinquency and gender, age, school type, attendance to free time activities, parents’ academic background, parents’ child rearing attitudes, feeling happy in family context and parental approval of friends. No significant relationship was found between delinquency and Socio Economic Status and parental togetherness.
