Abstract:

One of the most common species in the Turkish folk poetry products, mania is a species that can be spoken by people with both harmony in its speech and the profound meaning burden that it has taken over, but only with certain abilities. This tradition, also referred to in expressions such as manic burning, manic discharge, has been performed differently in almost every corner of the Anatolian geography, but has not remained ignorant of social changes and has become a speaker that has slowly begun to disappear. The essential oral cultural product of special days such as the night of the day, the wedding, the holidays, the hiddarelles, the Ramadan nights and the Sunnah marasims which are of importance for society is manic, short and permanent in mind; the meaning burden it has taken over and has found its place in other oral narrative types and has become an integral part of the Turkish culture. In this study, general information about the type of mani and the tradition of saying mani has been given, and the 98 mani examples collected from the Gazipaşa district of Antalya have been identified within themselves, the impact of local characteristics on the type of mani has been studied.
