In this study, some of the folk songs that are played at weedings and amusements in Reyhanli/Hatay are compiled, for instance; “SaraylarYaptırdım” and “Ekşi de KavunDilimi” which are not yet in the folk song lists of TRT (Turkish Radio and Television) and Ministry of Cultural. Besides the folk songs, with resourcing the interview of ErdalGunes, a very informative process took place about the history of the area, customs, traditions and social life in that area. One of the important aspects of the area is that, through that time, Turk, Arab, Cherkes and Kurd public lived together without any conflicts, they created families interracial and became relatives. Historically, both they had their distinctive customs and sooner they started to form common culture with the help of melting pot of interracial families. By this change, it is impossible to claim that culture doesn’t affect the reaction of its music. The two pieces of music that are studied in this research are the rare folk songs that are not recorded in this case. This works of Reyhanli that was played at their wedding today and then conducted this study in order to live and be kept alive.
