It is possible to see the life experiences of nations that have been transferred from generation to generation through the stereotypes that give a great expressive power to the mother tongue. The wisdom of a nation is hidden in these words. These are structures that contain cultural units. These conventional codes have turned into language warehouses that carry intense emotions and information since the first time human beings started communicating. We find the mental structure and memory of humanity in literary texts that are the carriers of these codes. Among these text structures, poems are produced for communicative purposes and have the highest permanence. This text structure offers its recipient a repertoire of the element to which it belongs. Because the reader can recognize the appropriate context much more easily through these structures. It is possible to see these cultural units intensely in Mehmet Akif, a poet in whom Turkish poetry finds its realism. The concepts that he especially emphasized in his poems reveals his nationalism, localism and populism. As a result of this situation, he reflects all the characteristics of the society he lives in to his poems. Although he never used the syllabic meter, he wrote his poems in a plain language because he adopted the aim of addressing the society. The vivid use of spoken language in his poems shows that he almost produces his own communication channels. In this respect, the formulaic expressions in Mehmet Akif's poems were evaluated and the importance of this vocabulary in terms of Turkish education was mentioned. Qualitative research method was used to carry out the research Data were collected through document review. As a result of the research, 212 different phrases were identified in his poems. No words were found in the poems stating "separation, superstitions, exaltation, gratitude/thank you".
