Çorlulu Zarîfî, 16. yüzyılın ikinci yarısı ile 17. yüzyılın başlarında yaşamış bir divan şairidir. Kaynaklarda ismi pek fazla geçmeyen şair hakkındaki kısıtlı bilgilere sadece Kafzâde Fâizî’nin Zübdetü’l-eş‘âr’ı, Riyâzî’nin Riyâzü’ş-şuʻarâ’sı ile Kâtib Çelebi’nin Keşfü’z-zünûn adlı eserlerinde rastlanmaktadır. Zarîfî’nin yaşadığı özellikle de şiir yazdığı dönem Osmanlı Devleti’nin siyasi anlamda eski ihtişamını kaybettiği, yavaş yavaş duraklama dönemine girdiği evredir. Bu dönemde şairler yenilik arayışına girmişler birçok yeni mazmun denemişlerdir. Zarîfî de bu düşüncelerle şairlerin farklı söyleyişler içerisinde olması gerektiğini savunmuş ve bunu şiirlerinde başarılı bir şekilde uygulamıştır. Eskilerden beri medeniyetlerin gök cisimleri hakkındaki farklı düşünce ve inanışları şairlere de sirayet etmiş, bu minvalde birçok şair çeşitli gök cisimlerini kendilerine dil malzemesi edinmişlerdir. Zarîfî’nin de bu anlayışla kaleme aldığı Mihr ü Mâh mesnevisi, Türk edebiyatının Anadolu’daki ilk örneklerindendir. Zarîfî’nin ilk eseri olarak bilinen Mihr ü Mâh mesnevisi tahkiyeli bir anlatıma sahiptir. Mihr ü Mâh, Müslüman bir şahın oğlu Mâh ile kâfir bir şahın kızı Mihr’in aşklarını işleyen klasik aşk konulu bir mesnevidir. Zengin bir söz varlığına sahip Mihr ü Mâh’da özellikle folklorik malzemelerin çokluğu kayda değerdir. Bu çalışmada öncelikli olarak Çorlulu Zarîfî’nin edebi kişiliğine değinilecek daha sonra ise şairin hamse yazarı olabilmek gayesiyle yola çıktığı Mihr ü Mâh mesnevisindeki zengin söz varlığı ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır.

Çorlulu Zarîfî is a divan poet who lived in the second half of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century. The limited information about the poet, whose name is not mentioned much in the sources, can only be found in Kafzâde Fâizî's Zübdetü'l-eş'âr, Riyâzî's Riyâzü'ş-şuʻarâ and Katib Çelebi's Keşfü'z-zünûn. The period in which Zarîfî lived, especially when he wrote poetry, is the period in which the Ottoman Empire lost its political glory and entered a period of stagnation gradually. In this period, poets searched for innovation and tried many new metaphors. With these thoughts, Zarîfî argued that poets should be in different utterances and successfully applied this in his poems. Since ancient times, different thoughts and beliefs of civilizations about celestial bodies have spread to poets, and many poets have used various celestial bodies as language material for themselves. Mihr ü Mâh masnevi, written by Zarîfî with this understanding, is one of the first examples of Turkish literature in Anatolia. Mihr ü Mâh masnevi, known as Zarîfî's first work, has a narrative expression. Mihr ü Mâh is a masnevi on the classical theme of love, which deals with the loves of Mah, the son of a Muslim shah, and Mihr, the daughter of an infidel shah. In Mihr ü Mâh, which has a rich vocabulary, especially the abundance of folkloric materials is noteworthy. In this study, firstly, the literary personality of Çorlulu Zarîfî will be mentioned then, the rich vocabulary in Mihr ü Mâh masnevi, which the poet set out to become a hamse writer, will be tried to be revealed.
