Abstract:

In almost every society across the world, individuals are not able to meet the loss of income and / or increase in expenses due to events such as illness, accident, birth and death, which are natural parts of life, by their selves. When we look at the history, it is seen that not having this power caused strikes, riots and conflicts especially in the working class. There-fore, the Social Security System is a great importance both for the individuals to feel safe and under protection and for the society to ensure serenity and peace. However, the Social Security System in Turkey has serious financial problems. Solving these financial problems is essential for the sustainability of the social security system. Therefore, the continuation of Social Security for future generations depends on the solution of these financial problems today. To be able to solve a problem with the most appropriate solution tool (s), that problem should only be examined with all its features. For this reason, in the study, the factors that cause financial problems have been tried to be analyzed. Subsequently, solution suggestions believed to be able to overcome the problems were presented. In the study, data were collected by text analysis, which is a qualitative method.
