Abstract:

People are in constant relationship and interaction with the place they are in. The most important factor in a person's perception of his / her place is the sense of sight and visual perception. It is important that this perception creates comfort on the user. Color and lighting concepts are the most important design elements that create visual perception, especially in interior spaces. In this sense, the use of color and lighting suitable for the function and style of the interior design should ensure that people are comfortable. Design elements should be determined by taking into account the psychological effects and visual perception that will create on people. In the study, the concepts of color and lighting in interior design are explained and their importance in terms of user comfort is emphasized. In addition, the effects of color and lighting in the houses where people perform all their actions such as shelter, nutrition and work are explained. In this context, the role of color and lighting system in design is explained to create user comfort.
