Logistics is one of the most important services sectors in terms of employment, volume of work and added value and its contribution to the world economy. Logistics; primarily serving all sectors such as food, medicine, cosmetics, automotive and textile, is effective in the spread of economic activities to broad areas. The first use of the logistics concept in the 1700s was in the form of the supply of material to the front in the military area and the movements of the military troops. Since 1960, trade logistics has emerged about the transfer of goods from the manufacturer to the customer and its management. Globalization and its international competition and the development of technology in logistics management increases the importance of the logistics sector from day to day. The final point was the change in the technology and innovation that occurred with the digital transformation and the shift in the logistics sector and the beginning of the e-logistics, smart logistics and logistics 4.0 processes. The aim of this study is to compare the relationship between foreign trade and intelligent logistics with the OECD’s eight member countries and the organization’s “City Partners” with the two countries. For this purpose, the logistics performance index of the countries concerned, the global competition index, the individual internet use (% of the total population), the non-pure domestic revenue per person (GDP), the digitalization conformity index, foreign direct investments, the levels of foreign trade (export-export) and the digitally deliverable service exports were compared. In the study, a document analysis model was used in the framework of the quality research method.
