In this study, AISI 1050 steel materials, which were frequently used in manufacturing industry, were turned with five cutting tools with different chip breaker forms. Main cutting forces were recorded during the machining with different cutting tools. The effect of the cutting tools with five different chip breakers on the main cutting force at different feed rates was mathematically analyzed. In these analyzes, 10 different mathematical models were created for each chip breaker form with five different mathematical methods. As a result of these analysis, all chip breaker forms are modeled with high consistency. The best results in all models were obtained by polynomial modeling with 3 variables. Among the mathematical models, the Fourier model was observed as the least successful model in all experiments. The highest R2 value (R2 = 0.9503) and the highest adjusted R2 value (R2 = 0.8757) were achieved with the model obtained using the MS chip breaker form.
