This research aims to determine opinions of high school teachers about principals’ behaviors during classroom observations, to find out ‘adoption’ level of behaviors by teachers and ‘display’ levels of behaviors by principals and to discover any meaningful differences between two levels according to variables of gender, seniority, branch of study and type of school. Descriptive survey model was used. Sample is 404 high school teachers in Kastamonu. Data was collected via Likert-Type scale created by the researcher. According to results, there are no significant differences for gender, but opinions alter for seniority in both dimensions. Though there are no significant differences for the branch of study, significant differences were found in all factors in ‘display’ dimension for type of high school. When ‘adoption’ and ‘display’ levels are compared, significant differences were found in all factors. It was found out that teachers attach importance to classroom observation processes but they have some expectations in terms of the behaviors demonstrated by principals. First, teachers expect their opinions to be taken into consideration during decision making phases of observation processes.
