Abstract:

There are 16 districts of Sivas, located northeast of the Anatolian area. One of these is the sixth. The Altınyayla district, which is 82 kilometers from the center of the province, is in the east of the Sivas-Kayseri road. It is an ancient settlement, but there is no clear information about when and who it was established. The district of Sivas or Altınyayla was built by the Central (Tonus) Camii Ahmet Ağa to Mahmut Master in 1313 (m. 1895-96) dates. Altınyayla Central Camii is the district mosque, but in Turkish architecture it is an example of wooden and roofed mosques. It is known that the tradition of making wooden mosques moved from Central Asia to Anadolu is applied by the Gaznians and the Karahanis. The scope of this research is shaped by the decorations of the preaching box of the Central Camii. The preaching box is made of wood material and is a work in which colored pen work techniques are used together on the wood, cutting and cutting. The curve; "S" and "C" curves are decorated with flowering motifs, palmets, rosettes, leaves and plant motifs within the vazo. Curtain decorations have been studied in color, motif, pattern, composition and technical terms. Decorations, photographs and detailed drawings supported by documentation work have identified the current situation. In the main wooden cage, fractures, decorations and colours have been detected in partial distortions. There is no need to be given attention to the decorations in the preaching box. There has not been a detailed study of the preaching box that is not used today. This is why the documentation work is made and awarded to literature is important to reach future generations.
