A comparative study with the main objective is to examine the effects of online collaborative economics project that connected students in Malaysia and Indonesia with their attitudes towards online learning. This study investigates the effects of online collaborative on teamwork skills among the students. A quasi-experimental method and questionnaire were used in this study. There were 128 students from two universities selected randomly and divided into three groups. There are two experimental groups and a control group. The results showed that Malaysian students in Synchronous Online Collaborative group significantly outperformed in their attitude and teamwork skill mean score. Indonesian students in Asynchronous Online Collaborative group outperformed in teamwork skills compared to Synchronous Online Collaborative and Conventional C. Overall, these findings support positive effect of online collaborative learning.
