Abstract Critical-descriptive review of the book Translation and Emotion: a psycological perspective, by Séverine Hubscher-Davidson, head of the Translation Department at Open University (UK) and responsible for numerous articles on psychological processes related to translation. Launched in 2018 by Routledge, the volume analyzes three distinct areas in which emotions influence translators: the emotional material contained in the source texts, the emotions of the translators themselves and the emotions of the readers of the incoming and outgoing texts. These aspects are detailed according to the concept of three stages of processing emotion: perception, control and expression of emotion.
