Abstract:

In today's world, where globalization is experienced intensely, commercial activities have increased with the increase in the interaction of countries with each other and there has been a great increase in production-consumption capacities. In this process, energy has been the driving force of achieving both economic and social welfare. Turkey is a country that increases its economic activities day by day. As a basic production input, energy is an important factor in order to maintain development both economically and socially and to respond instantly to needs. Therefore, when there is a problem inside or outside the country, access to energy may be disrupted or completely stopped. Then, it is important for Turkey to integrate renewable energy systems into the country and to be self-sufficient. Based on it, in this study, the effects of Uncertainty, Human Capital, Income Level and Globalization variables, which are used relatively recently in the literature, on the renewable energy deployment in Turkey between 1974-2019 are investigated with the ARDL. According to results;As all negatively affect the spread of renewable energy resources in the short run, human capital and income level positively affect the spread of renewable energy in the long run, while others affect it negatively
