Abstract:

From the 15th century, the Egean islands began to enter the Ottoman domination with the conquest of those near the Anatolian coasts. Located within the northeastern Egean Islands and located in the northernmost of the Egean Sea, the Taşoz island has a strategic importance in many aspects, including the close proximity to the land connection. and II. He is known for his historical, geographical, educational and administrative identity from the scientists and administrators of the period of lawfulness, and has written many books and articles about history and geography. One of these is the Taşoz History article published in the History-i Ottoman Encyclopedia in 1913. This article is a very important source in terms of keeping light on the history of both the general history of the Taşoz island and the history of Taşoz, which was personally held with the duty of mutasarrief of the Lord Moses. In the article of Mr. Moses Kâzim, he translates important information about the geographical, administrative, political and economic history of Taşoz. In this article, also, a canon of Taşoz dated 1672 with Sultan II. There is a ferman (property) that proves that Mahmoud has granted Taşoz to Mahmoud Ali Pasha.
