İslam düşünce tarihinde tefsir okullarının ayrı bir yeri vardır. Bunlardan biri de Mekke tefsir okuludur. Bu okulun kendine özgü bazı yönleri bulunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada söz konusu okulun temsilcisi Said ibn Cübbeyr’in hayatına, yetişmesine, sahabeden hocalarına, öğrencilerine, özellikle hocası Abdullah b. Abbas ile ilgili açıklamalarına yer verilmiştir. İbn Abbas’ın ders halkasına devam eden Said ibn Cübbeyr’in hayatındaki önemli olaylardan bahsedilmiştir. Haccac b. Yusuf es-Sakafi’ye karşı İbn Eş’as fitnesine dâhil oluşu ve Haccac tarafından öldürülmesi ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. Ayrıca onun hakkında âlimlerin görüşleri, onun öne çıkmasına neden olan hususlar, tefsir ilmindeki önemli konumu, Mekke tefsir okuluna olan etkisinin delilleri izah edilmektedir. Hadis, tefsir, fıkıh ve kıraat alanında yetkin olan Said ibn Cübbeyr’in yaptığı Kur’an-ı Kerim tefsirini bir araya getiren mütekaddimun âlimlerin onun tefsirinin önemine dair görüşlerinden bahsedilmektedir. Taberi’nin “Tefsîrü't-Taberî”, İbn Ebî Hâtim’in “Tefsîrü'l-Kur'âni'l-Azîm”, İbn Kesir’in “Tefsîrü'l-Kur'âni'l-Azîm”, Bagavî’nin “Mealimü’t-Tenzil”, Suyuti’nin “ed-Dürrül-Mensûr Fit-Tefsir bil-Me’sûr” adlı kitapları gibi temel tefsir eserlerinde yer alan En’âm suresine ait Said ibn Cübbeyr’in nakilleri değerlendirilmiştir.
In the history of Islam, the teaching schools have a separate place. One of them is the school of Mekka. This school has its own features.
