In this study, an adaptation study of the Science Reading Scale (BOÖ) developed by Fives, Huebner, Bırnbaum, Nicolich (2014) was conducted to the students of high school. This measurement tool has two dimensions within it. The first of these is the Exhibited Scientific Reading (BO-S) test with a single-factor structure; the second is the Science Reading Motivation and Faith (BO-MI) scale with a three-factor structure. The scale, after the language equality study, was applied to a total of 500 students who studied in the 7th grade in the central districts of Ankara for the purpose of conducting the validity and reliability study. The structure validity of both scales has been studied using the verifying factor analysis (DFA) technique. The results of the analysis for BO-S found that the 10, 11, 15 and 16 questions in the test were not valid indicators of the structure of BO-S adapted to Turkish. The corrections for these questions were made and a new sample of 823 people, similar to the sample at the beginning of the test, was implemented. The results of the [1]DFA analyses showed that the conformity criteria showed that the single-factor structure of the test is acceptable but the 16th issue is not a valid indicator of the structure of the Turkish version of the BO-S. Following the discussion with the field experts, the 16th question was removed from the test. The Cronbach’s Alpha internal consistency ratio was 0.67. The results of the DFA analysis for BO-MI indicate that the conformity criteria indicate that the structure of the scale is acceptable. BO-MI Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency ratio was found as 0.70 for sub-length, 0.70 for scientific literature self-sufficiency and 0.86 for epistemological beliefs for science. Based on the findings obtained in the study, it is believed that the form of the BOÖ adapted to Turkish is a valid and reliable measurement tool and that students at the specified level can be used to measure the levels of scientific literature. *The content of this article is under the title "The study of validity and reliability of the scale of scientific literature" XIII. It was presented as a verbal statement at the National Congress of Science and Mathematics Education.
