Bu araştırma, ters yüz sınıf yönteminin 10. sınıf öğrencilerinin kimya dersi ‘’Asitler, Bazlar ve Tuzlar’’ ünitesindeki akademik başarılarına etkisini ve öğrencilerin ters yüz sınıf yöntemi hakkındaki görüşlerini almayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada nicel ve nitel araştırmaların bir arada kullanıldığı karma yöntem tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmanın nicel boyutunda ön test-son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen, nitel boyutunda ise yazılı görüş formu kullanılmıştır. Uygulama sonrası toplanan veriler incelendiğinde bağımsız örneklem t testi sonuçlarına göre kontrol grubunun son test puanı ortalaması X=43.0769, SS=16.2794 ile, deney grubunun son test puanı ortalaması X=58.42886, SS=15.46069 arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir [t 27 = -2.514, p=0.019

Abstract:

This research aims to get the effect of the flipped classroom method on the academic achievements of 10th grade students in the chemistry course "Acids, Bases and Salts" unit and to get the students' opinions about the flipped classroom method. The mixed method, in which quantitative and qualitative researches are used together, was preferred. In the quantitative dimension of the study, a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, and a written opinion form in its qualitative dimension were used. When the data collected after the application were examined, a significant difference was found between the posttest mean score of the control group X = 43.0769, SS = 16.27094 and the posttest mean score of the experimental group X = 58.4286, SS = 15.46069 [t 27 = -2.514, p = 0.019
